Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Taylor Steinhauer and Christopher Free
We are so excited for our guests to celebrate with us in Colorado. We encourage you all to take full advantage of this great state and turn your travels into a mini vacation if possible. Colorado has so much to offer – below are just a few of our favorite recommendations. Please keep in mind our wedding will be in Pine, CO, which is roughly 50 minutes outside of Denver.

National Parks

We love exploring beautiful landscapes and Colorado happens to have four national parks: Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Mesa Verde, Great Sand Dunes, and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Hiking

We highly recommend taking in the beauty of Colorado with a hike. One of our favorite trails near our venue is Eagle's View Trail Loop in Conifer, CO. If you're feeling up for a challenge, try summiting one of Colorado's famous 14ers, but do beware of altitude sickness.

Fly Fishing and River Rafting

Ford the Colorado headwaters for some rafting and world-class fly-fishing. Some popular water ways are the Colorado River, Clear Creek, Cache La Poudre River, Blue River, and many more.

Breweries

We love to drink beer and Colorado has the fourth most breweries per capita in the U.S. It is home to such notable breweries as New Belgium Brewing Company, Odell Brewing Co., Great Divide Brewing, Left Hand Brewing and the legendary Coors Brewing Company. We recommend the Coors Brewery tour in Golden, CO.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre

This may be our favorite Colorado attraction. We would highly recommend trying to catch a concert at the greatest venue in the world while you're visiting. If you're unable to see a show, it is still worth visiting the park to take in the sights.

Pikes Peak

Not up for summiting a 14er? Pikes Peak Cog Railway allows you to experience the same breathtaking views without having to hoof it up a mountain. At the summit, enjoy a special treat of world-famous donuts -- the only ones made above 14,000 feet.

Mount Blue Sky Scenic Byway

The highest paved road in North America offers another opportunity to experience Colorado's high altitude. The view from the top of Mount Blue Sky is one of the grandest panoramas in Colorado and much of the state is visible. It is also a good place to spot bighorn sheep and Rocky Mountain goats, both of which have herds on the mountain.
