Flight
The easiest way to get to Santa Barbara is by flying into the Santa Barbara Airport (SBA). SBA is a small airport serviced by United, American, Delta and Alaska airlines, located 12 miles from downtown in Goleta. For you PNW folks, Alaska Air offers daily direct flights from PDX and Sea-Tac. The recommended hotels, welcome party, ceremony, reception and beach day are all downtown near the waterfront. Uber, Lyft, and public transportation are easy to use if you prefer not to rent a car (and are okay with walking a few blocks).
Flight
You can also fly into Hollywood Burbank (BUR) or Los Angeles (LAX), 90 miles away, and either rent a car or take the Santa Barbara Airbus (from LAX) or Amtrak (from Burbank) to downtown Santa Barbara.

Travel Note
We have obtained group rates at many other hotels in Santa Barbara and the surrounding area, click below to see rates. The rates will vary based on supply and demand. We recommend hotels in the West Beach and Lower State Street areas as they are in the heart of Santa Barbara and will make it easy to get to the various events. A few to consider: Hotel Santa Barbara, Mason Beach Inn, Holiday Inn Express SB and Hotel Indigo. Goleta and Carpenteria -- the two adjacent towns -- offer the most affordable lodging and are a 12 minute drive to downtown Santa Barbara. You might also consider checking sites like Hotwire and Expedia for deals on hotel/flight bundles.
Hotel
This hotel is in the West Beach area, across the street from the Harbor. The hotel has offered us a group discount. Book by calling the hotel directly and ask for the "Manager's Special" rate.
House Or Rental
Another option is to rent a house for the weekend. Check VRBO and Airbnb. That said, please note that the city of Santa Barbara has imposed strict regulations on short-term rentals, so a hotel may be the best option for a weekend stay.
