There’s too much to see and do in the area, we’ve put together a list of some of our favorite places and restaurants here!
Some of the greatest hikes you can find are scattered throughout the Eastern Sierra. We’ve listed a few great ones nearby Mammoth Lakes, if you feel like exploring in Yosemite or anywhere else nearby ask us for some recommendations!
Depending on snowpack you might be able to ski, mountain bike, golf, or at least take Panorama Gondola up to the peak for some amazing views. Hope you bought an Ikon pass this year!
One of our favorite places, it's where we got engaged and where we have spent all of our anniversaries! We've explored all over and have more recommendations for things to do here than we have space to write here. If the pass is cleared and opened you can make it to the valley floor for a day trip, be sure to get a pizza at The Deck for lunch! If the pass isn't opened yet you should be able to make it as far West as Olmsted Point (most of Tuolumne Meadows will be accessible), Tenaya Lake is one of our favorite easily accessible areas up there, bring a paddle board or kayak but it might be cold! If you want to spend some extra time in the area to camp, hike, backpack this is where we would recommend! Let us know and we might have some tricks to help get reservations/permits/whatever you need (even half dome permits).
Pay attention to signs while you go hiking here, some areas of the creek are basically boiling! If you hike up past the vents the creek cools down and you can fish in the creek.
The first hot spring everybody goes to here, easily accessible and about 20 minutes from town. Please be sure to pack out any trash and no glass bottles!
Beautiful lake with boating and campsites nearby.
