Flight Information

When booking flights, please consider the following suggested options: 1. Fly straight into Florence (Amerigo Vespucci Airport). As direct flights from many US cities are limited, many flight paths into FLR include a layover in a major European city (Milan, Rome, Paris, Zurich, etc). 2. Fly into Milan or Rome, then take a high-speed train (~1.5-2 hours) into Florence. This option works best to avoid a longer layover, or if you'd like to spend a night or a few in one of these cities before the wedding weekend. 3. Coming from another (European) destination? Direct flights into Florence, or a scenic train experience are much more available! *If you're new to International Travel, our favorite cheat code is to book an evening flight from the US. You are served dinner and wine on the plane, then go to sleep for a few hours. When you wake up, you've arrived in your new destination! ARRIVAL We recommend arriving by Friday morning/early afternoon at the latest. Concerned about jet lag? Thursday or earlier may be best. Many guests have shared additional travel plans prior to this weekend, and we love this idea! Once in Europe, make the most of your time here! 1. From the Airport, take a Taxi or Uber to the hotel (25-35 minutes to Villa Olmi or city center of Florence). - Shuttles may be arranged if many guests plan to arrive around the same time. 2. The main train station - Firenze Santa Maria Novella - is located in the city center of Florence, next to many tourist destinations. It can take anywhere from 20-40 minutes to drive through the city to Villa Olmi (main hotel). ACCOMMODATIONS The main hotel is located about 15-30 minutes from the city center of Florence. If you are booking accommodations on your own, please feel free to use Hotel Mulino di Firenze (#2 below) or any hotel in the city center. If you plan to stay in the city, meet at Villa Olmi for shuttle service to and from weekend events.
