What airport should I fly into? The closest airport is Florence Amerigo Vespucci (FLR). Because direct flights from the U.S. to Florence are limited, many guests find it easiest to fly into Rome (FCO) or Milan (MXP) and then take a high-speed train (about 1.5–2 hours) to Florence. How do I get to the hotel once I arrive? From FLR or the main Florence train station (Firenze Santa Maria Novella – SMN), taxis are the most reliable option. Maria Vittoria, our wedding coordinator, will help arrange shared transfers closer to the wedding if many guests are arriving at similar times. Will transportation be provided during the weekend? Yes! Shuttles will be provided on Saturday for the Vineyard Excursion and on Sunday for the Ceremony and Reception. All other events take place at Hotel Villa Olmi Firenze, which will serve as the central hub for the weekend. Please see the “Schedule” tab for exact pickup and return times.
Where should I stay? Florence offers many wonderful options. Hotel Villa Olmi Firenze is the main hotel for family and wedding party, and we'd love if you would join us there for the weekend! Otherwise, we recommend Hotel Mulino di Firenze (same management company as the main hotel) or any accommodations in central Florence for easy access to sightseeing and shuttle transportation. Is there an accommodation RSVP or booking deadline? To assist with transportation planning, we kindly ask that anyone requesting rooms at Hotel Villa Olmi Firenze RSVP to hotel accommodations via the RSVP tab by March 1, 2026. What time is check in/out at Hotel Villa Olmi? Check in begins Friday at 2:00 pm, then join us by the pool for a pizza party! Check out by Sunday at 12:00 pm, Farewell Brunch is 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, and there will be a place to store luggage if you plan to stay past 12:00pm check out.
What will the weather be like? Early June in Tuscany is typically beautiful and warm, with sunny afternoons and pleasant evenings. Average Temperatures in Florence (June): Daytime highs: 75–85°F (24–29°C) Evening lows: 60–65°F (15–18°C) Is there a rain plan? Yes. In the event of rain, all outdoor portions at Villa Corsini will move indoors under covered spaces. We recommend bringing a light layer or wrap for cooler nights, regardless of weather.
What are some things to consider when packing for Italy? Passports: Don’t forget them! Airline Restrictions: European carriers monitor baggage size and weight carefully—review limitations when booking. Adapters & Voltage: Italy uses 230V and Type C/F plugs. Make sure your adapter converts both the physical plug and the voltage if needed. Travel Comforts: compression socks, neck pillow, eye mask, snacks, and a refillable water bottle can make the flight over more enjoyable. Sunscreen: travel size encouraged 😉
Dress codes…help! We’ve suggested attire for each event to help you feel comfortable and embrace the Italian setting. All pre-wedding events are optional, and dress codes are meant as friendly guidance. Attire Breakdown Friday | Welcome Pizza + Pool Party | Elevated Pool Casual Swimsuits encouraged with nicer cover-ups—think linen dresses, skirts, polos, and button-downs instead of athletic wear. Saturday | Vineyard Excursion | Tuscan Casual Anything comfortable for a day in the countryside. Light colors and breathable fabrics are ideal. Kids are welcome at this daytime event. Saturday | Rehearsal Dinner (Wedding Party + Family) | Summer Cocktail We will be mixed indoor/outdoor, with a photographer present! ;) Sunday | Wedding Ceremony + Reception | Black Tie Preferred Formal dresses (midi to maxi), jumpsuits or gowns for the ladies; tuxes, suits, and bowties encouraged for the men. Terrain note: the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors on grass and gravel, so plan footwear accordingly. Monday | Farewell Brunch | Casual + Travel Leisure Come as you are—especially if you’re heading straight to the airport!
When is the RSVP deadline? March 1, 2026 – RSVP deadline for any requests related to staying at Hotel Villa Olmi Firenze April 1, 2026 – Final RSVP deadline for all remaining wedding events Can I attend only some events? Absolutely. You can RSVP individually to each event through the RSVP tab.
Are gifts expected? If you’re traveling with us to Italy, your presence is truly the gift—anything additional is at your discretion. What if I’d still like to give something? We’re honored by the thought! If you prefer to send a gift, please ship to our New York address rather than bringing items overseas. Our Address: 480 Humboldt St. Apt 6A Brooklyn, NY 11211
Are kids invited? Kids are welcome to join us at the hotel and for most weekend events (pool party, winery, rehearsal, brunch). For the ceremony and reception, please leave your little ones at home unless they are specifically invited on your RSVP, so guests can fully enjoy an adult celebration. Accessibility note: Elevators are available in Hotel Villa Olmi. Walking up and down a small hill is required to attend the outside garden ceremony. All other events will mostly take place on the ground floor. Who should I contact if I need help? Before the wedding, feel free to reach out to us with questions. During wedding week, please use the coordinator contact (to be shared) for any logistical needs.
