FAQs

Question

What Covid precautions are you taking?

Answer

At the church we will be socially distancing as well as requiring masks. You will be escorted to a seat. For the reception we are reducing the guest count to 50% capacity of the building. The cocktail hour and dancing will be outside- weather permitting. We are also requiring that everyone wears a mask. We also plan to seat people with their pods or with other vaccinated people. If you are still concerned, we completely understand and our hosting a Zoom virtual ceremony where you can view the ceremony from home. See the Schedule page for more details about the Zoom virtual ceremony.

Question

Where can I find the virtual ceremony?

Answer

It is located at the bottom of the schedule page. Click the button that says go to the virtual page and it will bring up our wedding video.

Question

Are the kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids, but unless your children were named on the invite, we want our wedding to be your night off.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest" then yes. Otherwise, we would prefer to celebrate with just you!

Question

What time should we get to the church?

Answer

Please try to get to the church around 12:30. You should arrive no later than 12:45 because the ceremony will start promptly at 1:00.

Question

When do we need to reserve a room by?

Answer

To guarantee our group rate with the Country Inn and Suites by Radisson, please call 219-764-0021 by May 1st.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Evening cocktail, please. Of course we want you to be comfortable so wear what suits you, but if you are like me and want specifics, think knee length black dress or a suit and tie. Most importantly, wear something you can dance the night away in and WEAR A MASK. Double masking is preferred. REMEMBER that the cocktail hour and dancing will be outside if it is not rainy or obnoxiously cold so keep that in mind when planning your attire.

Question

Is the reception open bar?

Answer

Yes! During the cocktail hour, we will have an open beer and wine bar. After dinner, there will be a full top shelf open bar for your enjoyment!

Question

Is there parking available at the church and reception hall?

Answer

Yes and yes! A parking lot is directly across from the church. At Marquette Park Pavilion, there is a parking lot to the left of the building. However, there will also be a shuttle transport from the hotel to the hall. If you are planning on driving to the reception, please make a plan for driving home safely because there is an open bar.

Question

Are the church and the reception hall handicap accessible?

Answer

Yes! In the reception hall there is an elevator and the entrance does not have any stairs. We also want our wedding to be enjoyable to everyone so we will have scrapbooks out for people to peruse if dancing is not your thing. If you have any other concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us and ask.

Question

What is a Catholic wedding like?

Answer

We will provide programs at the ceremony for guests to follow along with the service. For those of you who have been to a Catholic mass before, it will be a mass with the ceremony embedded within it. It is a religious ceremony so we are asking everyone to keep their cellphones away. We will be sharing pictures from the service on our website.

Question

Are you providing babysitting?

Answer

Due to Covid, we are not able to offer babysitting unfortunately.

Question

Who did your amazing flowers?

Answer

Kristin Tabor, Francesca's aunt and fairy godmother, helped her pick out all of my flowers and designed all of the floral decorations. She also assembled all of the centerpieces for us. She is a large part of what made our wedding beautiful. Thank you Aunt Kristin!
