Due to the current capacity at our reception hall, we have had to significantly reduce our guest list. We are hoping that the capacity will increase by June. We are using a rolling invite list. This means that as soon as we know that some guests cannot attend, we will send out more invitations to fill in the slots. I am heartbroken that we might not be able to celebrate in person with all of you, but we will be having a virtual ceremony so you can view our wedding from home. We hope that you can understand, and we pray that we can see you all at the wedding.
We actually have written testimony of Stan's impression from a group interview for Harrison College House! After the interview, Stan wrote to the House Dean, “Francesca is another active participant that stood out in her group. She has a lot of energy and is eager to help and understand others. She left a very positive impression.” Unbeknownst to us, that impression was so positive that it led to a friendship where we would hang out almost daily and bond over our work, cooking, and movies. Ironically, neither of us were looking for a relationship at the time, but it was inevitable. Songs like “I Won’t Say I’m in Love” from Hercules, “I Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis, and “Fascination” by Nat King Cole capture how our early relationship blossomed into where we are today.
Stan is a big believer in signs which he gets from his grandmother, a Tarot Card reader. Francesca had her tarot cards read by her cousin Matty the summer after she and Stan had started dating which confirmed that Stan was the man for her. While both of us believe it takes a lot more than faith and love to make a relationship work, it really does feel like we are destined to be together. For example, Stan's lucky number is 11, and Francesca was an RA on the 11th floor. Stan lived on the second floor. Francesca's family number is 13 AKA 2+11. Not to mention that our first date was on January 13th. Don't even get us started on our favorite flowers! Perhaps the biggest sign, however, was that Stan fit every description Francesca had envisioned for her partner from requirements like honest and loving all the way down to details like ballroom dancing. While Stan never pictured his "perfect woman," he knew Francesca was the one when she tackled him to the ground to watch Silence of the Lambs on his TV. Over a year later, Francesca tackled Stan again when he asked her marry him- another sign.
