Wedding Party

It wouldn't be a party without our best friends.

Erin Dubnow

Bridesmaid

Erin and Stacy met at camp in 2001. Stacy made a great first impression by offering to organize Erin's cubbies (offer still stands ErBear) and for some reason Erin decided to still be friends with her. 10 summers at camp and countless visits in between and their lifelong friendship was solidified. Stacy and Erin's friendship really blossomed in 2003 when they were in Bunk 20. Aly and Adina were there too and that was the summer they became "The Pineapples". Even though they have never lived in the same city Erin and Stacy still manage to see each other pretty often. Fun fact: Stacy was Erin's emergency prom date in 2008.

Carolyn Marthens

Bridesmaid

Carolyn and Stacy met at the University of Rochester in 2012, unfortunately their senior year. They became friends pretty quickly during a meeting when there was a broken, rattling fan that no one else seemed to be bothered by but nearly drove them both to insanity. This shared frustration sparked a friendship that was everything they'd both been hoping for. They later realized that they had many other things in common as well; a love for terrible TV, baking cupcups, Beyonce and also apparently teaching. To this day they continue to be bitter about the 3 years of friendship they could have had if they had only met sooner.

Aly Slater

Bridesmaid

Stacy and Aly also met at camp in 2001. They were....not fast friends, but have made up for it since then. They share a love of beautiful pens and love to be crafty together. That's probably why Aly finally decided to befriend Stacy, she wanted access to Stacy's stellar camp stationery supplies. Stacy and Aly don't see each other nearly as often as they would like but when they are together it's like no time has passed. Several years ago Aly lived with Stacy for a whole month in New York City. It was beyond fun and felt just like living together at camp, but as grown ups. Stacy is still holding out hope that Aly might decide that she does want to live in NYC after all.

Cara Bergantino

Bridesmaid

Stacy and Cara, similar to many of the other bridesmaids (hmmm interesting), had a rocky start to their friendship. Cara began attending the Baker school in 7th grade and was the "weird new girl" for quite some time. One day she came in with the same Puma sneakers that Stacy was wearing (and had first). The lavender suede ones with the navy blue stripe. Everyone told Cara that Stacy would NOT be happy about her having the same shoes. In a surprising turn of events Stacy didn't mind and the "weird new girl" became Stacy's best friend. Summers in Maine and still working at camp (not the same camp) are their favorite shared passions!

Adina Gordon

Bridesmaid

Yet another friendship that began at Mataponi in the summer of 2001, Stacy and Adina have been friends ever since. In 2003 (it was a critical year for camp friendships), Stacy brought an enormous pink Easter Bunny stuffed animal to camp. Adina adopted "Bunny" as her own and they had wonderful adventures all over camp. 15 years later and Adina still has Bunny, though they go on fewer adventures. Unlike the other pineapples, Adina has been following Stacy around the country, moving to both Boston and New York in recent years. Stacy thinks the recent move to Brooklyn is only so that Adina can spend more time with Penny, but she'll take as much Adina as she can get!

Shira Warren

Bridesmaid

Shira and Stacy have known each other since 1992. You read that right. 1992. They attended Temple Emeth preschool together and were in the same class for years. They continued to be classmates in elementary school until they were tragically separated in 3rd grade (still salty about that). Somehow they managed to stay friends despite being in separate classes and have stayed close ever since. Stacy and Shira were also neighbors growing up, living right down the street from each other for their entire childhood. They spent many many hours walking around the block in their youth. Now, despite living in different cities, even their dogs are good friends!

Jordan Tupper

Best Man

Dustin has known Jordan for his entire life (they're brothers, but they don't look as much alike as you probably think they do). Jordan is going to be very surprised to see how camp food has improved over the past 25 years. Dustin gave a phenomenal best man speech at Jordan's wedding and is excited to see how Jordan returns the favor - no pressure, bro.

Brandon Rhodes

Groomsman

During Dustin's first week on campus in Chapel Hill, he met Brandon, a guy who seemed relatively normal, and they've been best friends pretty much ever since. As the most successful big brother - little brother pairing in the history of the Omega chapter of AEPi, it should be no surprise to see Brandon standing up there by Dustin's side for the big day.

Ryan Sprechman

Groomsman

Dustin and Ryan became fast friends during their freshman year at UNC, whether they were picking up dinner on Monday night at the 'Dillo before 24 (and, yes Brandon, The Hills) or trekking from their swimming class to Sutton's. Fun fact: Ryan has cousins that attended Camp Mataponi!

Josh Podolnick

Groomsman

Housemates for two years in college and now living across the street from each other in Manhattan, it is clear that Josh wants to make sure Dustin is close by at all times (for reasons likely too sinister to print), so it is only fair that Dustin allow him to do so during the wedding, too.

Andrew Cosgrove

Groomsman

Dustin was the Best Man at Coz's wedding last year and they're still friends, so it must have mostly went ok. After countless adventures together from Chapel Hill to New York, and many random towns in between, it will be an honor for Dustin to have Coz in the wedding party.
