Maid of Honor
Elaine is Kayla's younger sister. As a little kid Kayla frequently asked her grandma if we "could just return Elaine?” Eventually, Kayla learned that having a little sister was a wonderful thing. As kids it meant having someone to convince to do your chores for you. As adults, it means having a lifelong best friend who understands all your idiosyncrasies. When these two are together they’re playing a round of golf or working on a puzzle. From a distance they are talking all things plants, a love that they learned from their mom.
Best Man
Nick's long-time sibling, Max Chase Clayton will hold court, proffer rulings, and oversee the realm during the matrimonial weekend.
Officiant
Kailey and Kayla have been platonic life partners since being randomly paired as roommates freshman year at Westminster College, and continuing to be roommates for the following seven years. Their first night in the dorms, they talked until all hours of the night. They haven't run out of things to say yet. Whether they’re backpacking along the Northern California Coast, going to concerts, relaxing at home playing card games, or working on a puzzle, the laughter doesn’t stop with these two. From the most trying of lows, to the happiest of highs, Kailey and Kayla’s friendship has seen it all.
Groomsman
Chris and Nick have been friends for over 25 years. So that's really something. Also they once both broke their pelvises. Pelvi? Pelvum? They broke their hips.
Bridesmaid
Smythe and Kayla also met at the beginning of freshman year of college. They quickly bonded over similar taste in music. Smythe was another one of Kayla’s roommates from sophomore to senior year. They spent many nights playing their favorite card game, Nertz. Their favorite study break was to blast Enya and frolic around the living room. When they weren’t listening to Enya, they loved running around campus pretending to do parkour.
Groomsman
Much like Chris and Nick, Chris and Nick have been friends for 25 years. Most of the stories from this friendship are inappropriate for a polite audience, such as your fancy selves.
Bridesmaid
Chanie and Kayla met when they were just eight years old; however, it was in junior high when their friendship really took shape. They bonded over discussing how to change the injustices of the world and later spending many hours volunteering for Planned Parenthood. They definitely never snuck out of their parents' homes to spend hours walking about Southeast Boise in the middle of the night. While they haven’t stopped brainstorming ways to make the world a happier place, nowadays, they prefer checking out new restaurants and hanging out in any available body of water with Chanie’s son, Tyr.
Groomsman
Andrew and Nick have been enemies for most of their lives. They are no longer enemies. Andrew Jones is not a doctor.
Bridesmaid
Kristina and Kayla's friendship began on a college trip to Spain. They bonded the first night of the trip while dancing in one of the largest clubs in Madrid and running around trying to speak (terrible) Spanish to anyone that would listen. Throughout the trip, they walked over 200 miles across Spain. Their Spanish graduated from sentences like, “Como se dice *insert sentence in English here*” to being able to speak some actual Spanish (please don’t test them, it’s been a decade). The adventures haven’t stopped for these two, though. Whether it’s a last minute trip to Jackson Hole or checking out a new restaurant in Salt Lake, it’s never a dull moment with these two.
Groomsman
Spencer and Nick are life-long fans of the University of Utah men's football team, for better or worse. They enjoy golfing together, drinking together, and golfing while drinking together.
Absentee Wedding Planner
Molly will not be attending this wedding, and also does not know what a wedding is. After all, she is just a simple-minded dog. Please don't hold it against her. The authors of this website wanted their dog to be featured, despite her absence. So, please, look at this big dumb dog.
