Best Man
He is my brother. A short blurb can’t capture the depth of my bond with him – he has always been there for me and I love him and my sister more than anything in the world. We both love vegetarian cooking, professional wrestling, and heavy metal music. I am also taller than him.
Maid of Honor
Megan is in all of my worlds – Cornell, Morgan Stanley, and New York – and they are all infinitely better for it. Through joint birthday parties, kickball leagues, trips to Michael's, and every day at 1585 Broadway, Megan has been there for each step. She is always ready with words of wisdom, a joke, a thoughtful gift, and a perfect Meg hug – and I'm so blessed she took a liking to me that fateful day at Brother Jimmy's.
Groomsman
Ravi is like the little brother I never had. He has welcomed me into the Chopra family with the same intense enthusiasm he brings to all of his passions, and for that I will be forever grateful. Every time we get to hang out I feel that we are growing that much closer as friends and brothers. He is a beautifully sincere and warm person who takes way too long to do his hair.
Bridesmaid
I'm so lucky to get a sister, and even more fortunate to gain a friend who shares the belief that family is the most important thing. She took under her wing as a Poorman through Peloton dances, talks about current events, and indulging me in every vacation adventure. Thank you for welcoming me to the family and embracing me as your own.
Groomsman
It has been an honor welcoming my sister Carrie’s husband into our family. He is a calming presence, a lifelong learner, avid photographer, and is going to be a great father very soon! Ashley always makes me feel at home when I get to visit them in Atlanta. I love it when Ashley leads the family in a spontaneous Vinyasa Yoga session during our beach vacations, but he will not be allowed to fly his drone over our wedding.
Bridesmaid
Much like her favorite show, Laura is a Dance Mom in the best of ways. She is a fierce believer that everyone deserves a fair shot, knows that family is the most important thing, and has the funniest one-liners. Unlike many Dance Moms, however, Laura is also a talented choreographer and can be credited with the bridesmaid Sangeet dance performance – and I'm doubly lucky that on July 24th, she will become the second sister I've always wanted.
Groomsman
Chance is like the big brother I never had. After college, Chance took me under his wing when I moved to Colorado, giving up his own apartment so that I would have a place to stay. Through the years, he has shown me all the best places to see live music in Denver, and I’ve been lucky to receive personal and professional guidance from someone who has lived a lot of life! He is not that old, just very wise.
Bridesmaid
Ms. Kerman moved me next to Sara during freshman English – hoping her good behavior would stop my talking during class. It didn't work, and we haven't stopped talking (or laughing) since. Over the last fifteen years, Sara has continued to bring art and joy to my life, and has always felt right by my side even while we're usually thousands of miles apart.
Groomsman
Jake and I have been best buds since we went to Church School daycare together at age 3! Through our years together on the soccer team, visits to each other's college parties, snowboarding trips, attending sporting events and movies, we have maintained a true lifelong friendship.
Bridesmaid
Lizzie has been my partner in tradition for years. With our dear friend Sarah, we prioritized our "Winesday" meetups in college, and continue to count on the annual Cornell hockey game as our time for each other. Lizzie was also my favorite Valentine's date for years and the same way great loves do – will forever be the person who makes me see the world in a different, and more beautiful, way.
Groomsman
That our friendship has survived being roommates 4 times in 2 different states is a testament to the strength of the friendship that Brian and I formed freshman year at Cornell! We have explored the mountains of Colorado together, enjoyed concerts at Red Rocks, and supported our own quirky family of Philadelphians, Cornellians and Coloradoans through ups and downs.
Bridesmaid
Gabrielle brought me into her family the same way most Indians would – stuffing me with delicious food and worrying when I'm out late. She is the friend most people don't get lucky enough to experience; one who will travel across the country for your engagement party, call you just because she's thinking about you, and always join you for a visit to Taco Bell.
Groomsman
Alex and I met through mutual friends in the Cornell Hotelie Crew freshman year and have only grown closer the longer we have known each other. We share a love of fine wines, road trips and Brazilian disco. Alex is one of the most loving and supportive friends you can ask for and it is an honor to be getting married ON HIS 33rd BIRTHDAY!
Bridesmaid
Cornell was onto something when assigning seemingly opposite people as freshman roommates. She brought me out of my shell and it turns out, we're not that different. Through over ten years of study sessions, dance parties, spring breaks, and road trips, Ani has taught me to unapologetically be myself – and for that I will be eternally grateful. She has yet to teach me the bachata, but there's always time.
Groomsman
Nic and I hit it off when we shared a homeroom class in Bronxville Middle School 8th grade and have maintained a close connection ever since. We have organized an entrepreneurship project selling waffles together in middle school, spent many afternoons relaxing by the Favaro’s pool, shared each other’s ups and downs through heart-to-heart conversations, and enjoyed many fine dining experiences.
Bridesmaid
They say to only bring a "forever love" to Paris, and I was lucky to first experience the city with one of mine. Through travels around the world, 4th of July weekends, murder mystery birthdays and more, Bri's friendship has been a privilege to experience. Her optimism is contagious and her creativity is astounding – she is the girl you always want on your team.
Groomsman
Lucas likes to party! His zest for life brings people together and he is a big reason why our friendship family has grown and stayed strong since our days together Freshman year at Cornell. Whether at the Renaissance faire, trips to the farm in Maine, or whipping up some late-night snacks, I know I can count on Lucas to bring my spirits up and encourage me to be my true self.
Bridesmaid
I was lucky to grow up with a "family friend" who became my family, and my best friend. Nisha brings her musical laugh and a love for mimosas wherever she goes. She is always ready for an adventure, finding a good sale, or a dance party, and I am so lucky to have grown up with her. My birthday is during her wedding weekend in August, and the fact that I am more excited for her sangeet than my own birthday is a testament to Nisha's magnificence.
Bridesmaid
Mariel is the person you would want to hate if she weren't your friend – she's kind, thoughtful, hilarious, and brilliant. It's too much perfect! She redeems herself by being charmingly self-deprecating and making you feel seen and loved, just the way you are. She is a loyal and warm person, and the best Bachelorette Historian I could have dreamt of.
