Like most millennials we met on a dating app, the OG Tinder! Jake shot me a Super Like and I took some time to think about swiping right or not. Those dimples are hard to say no to so I swiped right. If you don't know how Tinder works, you have a bio about yourself, photos, and some have their top songs. In my bio I wrote "if you don't know Yellowcard we can't be friends" and one of my top songs was a Blink-182 song. Jake took a shot and messaged me with the best pick up line ever. It had Yellowcard song titles in it. He really thought this one through! A few days go by and we finally met in person. I had to make sure he wasn't catfishing me or that he wasn't crazy, so I made sure we met in a public place. I was in my last semester at UGA and it was the weekend before finals. I told him to meet me at Walkers Pub downtown, but I didn't think about it being crowded with people studying. Good thing I got there early.. so I went to Starbucks and then walked over to north campus and sat under a tree. Jake was also early and calls me! If you know me you know I don't like talking on the phone but I had to answer! I tell him where I am. When I see him walking up all dressed up all I thought was oh man that's him!! We sat and talked for hours and then decided to walk around campus. The rest is history after that!

With how busy we get we try and have date night at least twice a month. This day Jake picked because it was an off day for him.. He wanted to go to Chucks Fish, a place we hadn't tried yet but have been talking about. I was excited but had no idea. We get to the restaurant and Jake sits and starts shifting. I ask if he's okay and he said he sat on his keys. Come to find out later he actually sat on the ring box. After dinner we decided to walk to insomnia cookies for dessert but he first wanted to walk by the tree on north campus that we met under. This wasn't unusual to do so I still had no idea what was about to happen. We get to the tree and I'm like okay lets go get cookies. Cookies were the only thing on my mind! I turn to walk away and as I do that Jake gets down on one knee! I turn back around and literally say "what are you doing" I was in shock! Then Jake says "This is where it all started and this is where I ask you to marry me!" and I said "of course!"
