So did we! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided it was the safest option to move our larger wedding celebration to October 8th, 2021.
We prefer that our guests arrive in cocktail attire. While we want everyone to be comfortable, we do want this to be a fairly formal occasion. We are getting married (again!) after all! The event will be in our backyard during October, and MI nights can get chilly. We recommend ladies wear wedges (or something similar) and bring a jacket/wrap.
Yes! The church has plenty of free and secure parking. You can enter the parking lot from Michigan Avenue. For the reception, you’re welcome to park in the street in our neighborhood. Note: Kingwood Street requires a parking permit on Fridays. Try your best to park on Cambridge or Oxford Streets!
Yes! Our bartenders will be checking IDs (per Michigan law) when our guests order alcoholic beverages. If you wish to partake in adult beverages, please remember your IDs. Thanks in advance!
Because we have limited space in our backyard, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please let us know if you have specific questions about your invitation.
This is very important to us. To keep all of our guests as safe as possible, we are capping our guest list at 50, and we are requiring vaccinations for all our eligible guests. We are also asking our vendors to wear a mask while at the event. Along with a plethora of hand sanitizer, we will have extra masks for any guests that find mask-wearing more comfortable. We love you all, and your safety is most important to us above all. Thanks for helping us make this a happy and safe occasion!
