Kolkata Highlights - easy to explore

The Wedding Website of Soumitra Kar and Prabrisha Rakshit
Kolkata — the City of Joy — is where old-world charm meets creative chaos. Once the capital of British India, it’s now a city that lives and breathes culture — from art and music to poetry, coffee, and (of course!) food. Colonial architecture, leafy boulevards, and yellow taxis whisper stories of the past, while its café corners and bustling streets keep the city’s heart very much alive. Fun fact: Kolkata was recently named one of the world’s top 11 food destinations — which totally makes sense, because half our love story was cooked up over shared plates and too many dessert detours!🍰 🍛🍜 After all, Kolkata was where we found something truly "statistically significant" — beyond just great food. 😉 So, for meals outside the wedding functions, we’ve curated some of our favourite non-Bengali restaurants — Indian, Continental, and Asian — so you can taste a little bit of everything this delicious city has to offer.
