We’ve been running regressions together since day one — quite literally. From late-night projects during our bachelor’s and master’s in Statistics to endless chai-fueled debates about whose model fit better, we were best friends with perfect correlation. Then life decided to test our patience — or maybe our Wi-Fi — when I moved to the US for higher studies, and he stayed back in India juggling work, life, and somehow still managing everything (and everyone) that mattered to me. Somewhere between the calls, the chaos, and all that care, we stopped pretending it was just friendship. Seven years, too many time zones, and one very patient love later, the results are in: friendship really does have a high predictive power for love. And yes — this one’s statistically significant. ❤️
