“Gaye Holud” (pronounced ga-eh ho-lud) literally means “turmeric on the body” — a Bengali pre-wedding ritual that marks the start of all things bright and auspicious. Traditionally believed to heal, protect, and bless, turmeric here becomes the city’s most joyful shade of yellow — smeared, splashed, and laughed over. The groom’s side? Expect unfiltered fun — music, cheer, and a little friendly chaos as everyone joins in the turmeric mayhem. Come ready to get messy (and maybe a bit yellow). 💛 (Did we mention there will be lunch? You’ll need it.)

The bride’s Gaye Holud brings out the gentler, more aesthetic side of the ritual — a morning wrapped in warmth, music, and colour. Loved ones apply turmeric as a blessing for love, health, and fortune, turning the moment into a glowing celebration of new beginnings. Expect elegance in every detail — delicate decor, laughter, and joy that feels almost golden. 💛 (And yes, there will be lunch — a beautiful, pescatarian spread to match the mood!)

“Biye” (pronounced bee-yeh) is the heart and soul of our wedding celebrations — the moment when we take our vows and officially become partners for life. You’ll witness a beautiful blend of tradition and melody — an ancient yet progressive Vedic-style ceremony, conducted by a team of Bengali priests, filled with music, sacred chants, and timeless symbolism. The ritual will last around two hours, after which you’ll be treated to a sumptuous Bengali feast — we promise it will be one of the highlights of your stay! Our wedding venue stole our hearts at first sight, and we’re sure it will cast its spell on you too. So, come dressed in your most dazzling Indian attire, ready to celebrate love, laughter, and a little bit of magic under the stars. ✨
