We recommend the hotel's restaurant Saturday night for dinner, it's really the only full service restaurant in Hana. They are open from 7:00am - 10:00am for breakfast and then 11:00am - 9:00pm for lunch/dinner. In-room dining is also available from this restaurant for hotel guests.
Black sand beach located ten minutes from the hotel. The beach requires a reservation at least twenty-four hours prior to your planned visit. Link for booking here: https://www.gowaianapanapa.com/ We recommend the 1st available time to avoid the crowds.
Horseback riding is available at Triple L Ranch located 1.5 hours south of the hotel property. We recommend this experience on your departure/arrival dates due to the distance from the hotel. Triple L is a family-owned working cattle ranch, located in the backcountry of Maui. Visit https://www.triplelranchmaui.com/ for pricing, and availability.
There are not many restaurants in Hana aside from the hotel restaurant, but The Bamboo Hale at Hana Farms serves up delectable farm plates and weekend wood-fired pizza. They do not take reservations, walk-ins only.
Private Exotic Fruit Tour: with ONO Farms Organic Fruit Farm in Kipahulu, located adjacent to Haleakala National Park (the Kipahulu District). Pricing/availability: https://www.onofarms.com/. This experience requires a vehicle.
