Travel

The Wedding Website of Sophia Lu and Andrew Gambel
The Columbia River acts as the border between Oregon and Washington. We strongly recommend staying in or near the city of Hood River (Oregon) as there are more housing, restaurant and activity options in this area. You will need to cross a bridge via car to reach the wedding venue located in Washington. We are not coordinating a common lodging - please decide what is best for your party based on the activities that interest you. We have provided a few hotel recommendations which have worked for us during our trips to the area. Most of these are not fancy as Hood River is primarily an outdoor activity location. Airbnb's are strongly preferred as there are many condo-style vacation options in the area.

Travel Note

Transportation Options

Please note: Uber is NOT a viable option for the Hood River area. We strongly recommend renting a car for your visit. There are several great places to visit in this region - you will want the flexibility to travel and sight see.

Flight

Portland International Airport

The Pacific Northwest offers several airports one could take to make an enjoyable trip. If you intend to only stay for the wedding, we recommend Portland International Airport. The drive from this airport to the wedding venue is approximately 75 minutes. If you are staying in the Pacific Northwest for an extended period, Seattle International Airport is also viable for the days preceding or after the wedding. The drive to the wedding venue from Seattle is approximately 4 hours.
