We met at our previous jobs and can probably say that we both did not expect to find our forever person after one innocent meal together. I'm sure that I speak for both of us when I say that I am so glad that we did. It all started one Friday after work when I (Kendall) was sitting in my car, staring into my phone, which apparently turned into sitting there way longer than I thought because next thing I know it's 5 and Andy is at my window saying hi and of course wondering what I was doing.. It's possible that I was secretly waiting for him to leave and see me? ;) I guess my plan worked! We ended up talking for awhile in the parking lot when I finally said we should just go get a bite to eat and continue talking instead and that's exactly what we did. We went to 7th Street-Cascade Lakes Brewery and ate and talked for hours. That turned out to be our first "unofficial date" you could say. When we were leaving, he walked me to my car and of course decided to ask me for my number and I remember it like it was yesterday... As a joke, I responded "no" to him with a very straight look on my face. Hahaha. The look on his face to this day cracks me up. I obviously was joking and gave it to him and we said our goodnights and left. Guess who texted the very next day? Hint: Wasn't me since I didn't have his number yet... ;) He sure did! He texted the next day and I even think he said "hey beautiful" *cue the butterflies*. We texted for a bit and then he asked me out on our first official date, which preceded to be that following week. We went to Kayo's Lounge here in Bend and let me tell you, I was a little scared at first.. The place seemed sketchy for a first date but it was AMAZING. Best coconut shrimp ever and since that evening we had preceded to go there so many times after. Unfortunately, they are closed down now but we still have so many good memories there in the time that we could. Needless to say, our first date went great! After dinner, we ventured to his place so he could show me around and then we just hung out and talked for hours. It was so easy and natural. Long story long, after our first date, we obviously enjoyed each other's company and continued to see each other. We had our second date a few weeks later, while also seeing each other at work and texting every day and the rest is history. Here we are 5 years later and counting! And now in less than a year, we will be husband and wife. We fall in love with each other more and more every day, continue to grow as a couple and can't wait to start the rest of our lives together.
