How we met

We met during the summer of 2020 on a mutual friend’s bachelorette party shoutout to Claire Harris! It was the middle of COVID, and we found ourselves rafting down a section of the Colorado River together. Nicole impressed Sonia with her raft-guiding skills, while Sonia immediately caught Nicole’s attention with her striking beauty, especially those unforgettable eyes and her warm, comforting presence. We sat as close together as possible the entire trip, but when it ended, we said our goodbyes not knowing if we’d ever cross paths again. Luckily, Nicole followed Sonia on Instagram and not long after, Sonia got the courage to slide into Nicole’s DMs. There was just one catch: Sonia lived in Houston, and Nicole was in Richmond. But fate (and a few daily phone calls) had other plans. During one call, Sonia mentioned she was heading to Boone with friends and casually asked if Nicole wanted to join. Oh and maybe she'd come stay in Richmond for a bit after. We ended up spending two unforgettable weeks together in Boone and Richmond, and by the end of it, we were completely in love. What started on a river in Colorado turned into the greatest love story of our lives. ❤️🌈❤️

Why the Texas Hill Country?

It was a journey!...

Sonia grew up in Houston since she was 8 and Barbara and Fernando still live here so that's our relationship to Texas! We did go on a journey to decide on this venue though. After touring at least 10 venues, some in the Texas Hill Country some in Virginia. None of the other venues compared to The Cedars Ranch in Wimberley, Texas! It has everything we are looking for! Had a pool for the pool party, pickleball courts, a beautiful reception hall, and enough lodging for family to be onsite, and even a sauna and cold plunge! It also allowed us to have an early April Wedding! Sonia and I have made some very magical memories in the Hill Country. Our first road camping adventure was in the Hill Country. Where I asked Sonia to be my girlfriend under a waterfall at Krause Springs. It's also where I asked Sonia to marry me in a cave at Pedernales Falls State Park, so it's only fitting that I ask her to be my wife here! We think you're going to love the beautiful Texas Hill Country and we can't wait to share it with you! Also, Austin is a lot of fun, and we have heard great things about San Antonio!
