FAQs

Here, we answer a few questions that may be top of mind for you. If you have any further questions that are *not* answered here or elsewhere on the website, please do not hesitate to contact us so we can help you out!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP no later than October 22, 2022, as we need to let our caterers and venue know the final headcount.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to venue capacity restrictions, we can unfortunately only accommodate plus ones if they are already listed on your envelope or as part of your party when you go to RSVP. We would love to double date with y'all another night!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we absolutely LOVE spending time with your little ones, we kindly ask that our wedding celebration remain a 21+ event, as there will be alcohol and general shenanigans present; however, please feel free to bring them to our welcome party on Friday night!

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

That's up to you! The venue is about 40 mins-1 hour away from the airport and is not close to downtown Austin. If you want/have time to explore the city, we would recommend renting a car; if you only have enough time for wedding festivities, we think Uber or Lyft should get you through the weekend pretty easily. Cost-wise, it will cost you ~$70 for a rideshare from the airport to the venue (one way); so if you can rent a car for cheaper than that, we say go for it!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm - yes, even with Smrithi's track record - so we ask that you arrive by 4pm.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

YES! Please let us know any and all dietary restrictions when you RSVP - we have a question specifically asking about this! We want you to be able to enjoy yourself and will absolutely accommodate your diet.

Question

What's the weather going to be like?

Answer

The short answer is that with Texas, you never *really* know. I would say the temperature is usually somewhere between the high 50s to the low 70s. The long(er) answer is that on December 3, 2021, it rained until around 2pm before turning into the most beautiful 70-degree day for the rest of the day. All this being said, I would still definitely check the weather forecast before packing!
