Jesse and Hannah met in college at the University of Denver. Both outgoing individuals, involved in DU’s business school, they met at a house party Hannah was throwing. They sat on the front stoop for hours, talking and captivated with each other, both realizing the other had similar dreams and goals. That’s when Hannah knew Jesse was really special and she wanted him in her life, even if only as friends. Both were super seasoned travelers, Hannah having just returned from a semester abroad in Italy and Jesse preparing to take a few months off after graduation to travel Europe. But as life would have it, Hannah and Jesse went their separate ways post college. Hannah moved to New York to pursue a career in fashion and Jesse embarked on his big adventure. Yet they kept tabs on each other, until a phone call came December 2013 and Jesse said “Please meet me in Dublin – I want to see you. I’ll send you a ticket.” Without much debate, Hannah flew from NYC to Dublin to explore the city together and have a Guinness or two. After that weekend getaway and more time getting ingrained in their post grad lives, they both came to the realization they needed to pursue their dreams but just in different cities, what could have been a romance stayed a friendship…for the time being. However, neither one of them forgot the other one. Nearly eight years later, December 2021, Jesse reached back out to Hannah. A three-hour phone call ensued with each getting caught up on the other one’s life. In their early 30’s, each living independently, single and having accomplished so much personally (jobs, friends, careers, personal hobbies) it was the perfect time to rekindle a potential relationship. They planned a date — first in Colorado, and then another in Chicago. After a year of long distance dating, flights back and forth and a few vacations, they spoke about moving in together. While long distance relationships are tough and usually put a relationship to the true test, both Jesse and Hannah believed with even more certainty their love was getting stronger with each passing day. Jesse had recently purchased a home in his hometown of Glenwood Springs in eager hopes that Hannah would make the move to be with him. She didn’t need much convincing. Hannah took the leap to move back to Colorado from Chicago and embrace life in the mountains! Hannah, Jesse, (and Dutch and Duke – Hannah’s rescue pups) now live happily in Glenwood Springs, where they have created a new life together. They’re in the process of renovating Jesse’s childhood home into their dream home. Dutch and Duke, have gladly shed urban living to adopt Colorado life and love sharing cuddles with Jesse. Given Colorado is so much the reason for their meeting, they are excited to invite you to the beautiful ski mountain town of Telluride in Western Colorado! Telluride is a quintessential postcard location which Jesse has visited in all seasons over the years. Hannah and Jesse took a trip there together in spring 2023 and said if they could pick any place to get married someday it would be here. They both look forward to welcoming their family and friends to help them celebrate this next chapter of their life!
