Marcus and Jasmine met in Chicago through the dating app Hinge. At the time, Marcus was working as a Prospect Researcher in Alumni Relations Development at the University. Jasmine was midway through her PhD program at The University of Chicago studying for the political theory exam. The two hit it off through a mutual love of politics and tea after Marcus reached out in her direct messages asking her favorite tea varieties. Their first date was French fries and beer at the Seven Ten Lanes Bowling Alley. They bonded over their mutual nerdiness and have been together ever since!
