Officiant
Brian first met Cheyenne as her professor of Psychology at Fort Lewis College. Cheyenne learned her love for counseling through Brian and his excellence of instructing both the art and science of this world. Cheyenne became his teaching assistant the following year and mentee for years to come during her graduate clinical training at the FLC Counseling Center. Through a depth of getting to know one another in the sometimes grueling, but rewarding, process of becoming a therapist, Brian became not only a dear mentor, but a father figure and friend to Cheyenne. Jared was a student of Brian's wife, Leslie Goldstein, while at FLC as well, both of whom would root Jared on during his basketball games throughout his years at FLC. Now, all four of them see one another often and have enjoyed a multitude of beautiful memories, past, present, and future together. Only a couple years into dating, Brian would often tell Cheyenne and Jared how he'd love to officiate our wedding one day, and now, we're finally here.
Mother of the Bride
Does she really need explanation? She's the one and only Janet, or as Cheyenne likes to call her, Gladys (her alter ego). Janet has been Cheyenne's core rock throughout her whole life, and it will be no different on the wedding day. Cheyenne's favorite adventure buddy, Janet and Cheyenne as mother and daughter have traveled to many places together, laughed many belly laughs together, and cried many tears with one another. In the absence of Cheyenne's father, whose spirit will very much be present throughout the wedding day, Janet will be walking Cheyenne down the aisle.
Mother of the Groom
The one and only, folks. Janice is the nurturer to us all, and has been Jared's #1 throughout his life. There's no one quite like Janice, who's often the voice of wisdom and reason wherever she goes. A truly gentle spirit, she'll be walking down the aisle with her husband, and guiding their son into this phase of adulthood; partnership and unity.
Father of the Groom
The man himself. The man who Jared often gets remembered as, you can hear "There's Charlie's son!" down in South Carolina where the Smith roots run deep. Charlie has always been the father that every man hopes to be who desires family life - someone who's guided, encouraged, and allowed for room for Jared to unfold into the incredible man he is today.
Maid of Honor
Lauren is Cheyenne's big sis and best friend. Often a voice of reason, a fierce supporter, and an inspiration for Cheyenne. Her children, Cheyenne and Jared's niece and nephew, will also be a part of the big day!
Bridesmaid
Ivey is Cheyenne's sister-in-law to be, Jared's big sis, and ultimate supporter. Ivey and husband David's daughter, Jared and Cheyenne's niece, will also be a part of the big day!
Bridesmaid
A cousin at heart, a soulmate in nature, Arielle and Cheyenne are true twin spirits. Often visiting Ari in LA, or Cheyenne in Denver, it's pure magic when they're together and the wedding will be no different!
Bridesmaid
Alexis is one of Cheyenne's closest cousins. Although separated by distance, family ties run extremely strong in their family. Cheyenne and Alexis spent time in AK growing up together, as well as the full circle moment of spending time with one another during Cheyenne and Jared's engagement trip in Ketchikan, AK.
Bridesmaid
Cheyenne's lil cuz, little sister of Alexis, Cheyenne and Darby have had a very close relationship since childhood. There's something special about choosing your family in your adulthood, and they definitely choose each other not only as family, but friends.
Bridesmaid
Cheyenne's longest and dearest childhood friend. Kiera and her family are true family to Cheyenne, and are embedded into the foundation of each other's lives. From dancing at the same studio, to senior prom together, to watching movies over Facetime when living across the country in college, Cheyenne couldn't imagine her wedding day without her.
Bridesmaid
Jenna is one of Cheyenne's best friends. Roommates and dance team captains in college together, they truly became sisters traversing through emerging adulthood. There's no one like Jenna in Cheyenne's life, she is someone Cheyenne couldn't imagine life without.
Bridesman
Rue is Cheyenne's best friend. Meeting during Cheyenne's college years spent in Durango, they became a permanent part of each other's lives. After many adventures together, the adventure into marriage is one Cheyenne couldn't imagine without Rue.
Bridesmaid
Christa is one of Cheyenne's closest friends. When Cheyenne moved to Denver during March of 2020, she didn't have many friends of her own. Christa was right there and they grew an extremely strong bond through mutual connections in Durango, as well as supporting one another through the rollercoaster that is sometimes being a woman in your 20s trying to figure out this thing called life.
Best Man
One of Jared's best friends, Allan is also one of Jared's longest friends made in their basketball days in high school. Jared couldn't imagine his wedding day without Allan as one of his best men. Having had the opportunity to stand alongside Allan on his wedding day, Jared can't wait to share this milestone with this member of his chosen family.
Best Man
Oh boy, where do we begin? Austin, known as "Haldo," is one of Jared's closest friends, he's family! Solidifying their brotherhood during their days playing basketball at Fort Lewis College, these two have been inseparable.
Groomsman
Also one of Jared's closest and longest friends, Jared and Lamar played basketball together in high school and have remained brothers throughout adulthood, often celebrating life's big moments together.
Groomsman
Watch out for this one, y'all! He's rowdy, he's loud, he's one of a kind. He's Toupée, the one and only. Jacob and Jared became fast and close friends during their years at Fort Lewis. Often escaping trouble, they were right where they were meant to be. Often sharing life's big moments, Jared and Cheyenne will be celebrating Jacob's nuptials to his beautiful bride just a couple months before their big day.
Groomsman
One of Jared and Cheyenne's closest friends, Dj was there every step of the way of their relationship. A true member of their family, Dj is often the breath of fresh air everyone is looking for in his humor and approach to life. Deeply adored by the couple since meeting in college, there's no WAY they'd be getting married without Dj.
Groomsman
Also a teammate of Jared's from FLC, Christian and Jared were so much more. Roommates, best friends, brothers, and eventually groomsmen to each other's weddings. Christian and Jared have had fun traveling to see one another through the years to catch up and celebrate life with their ladies, and now Christian and his wife, Liz's son, Camden!

Another best friend of Jared's from the FLC Men's Basketball team (you see a pattern here, right?), Nick and Jared have cultivated a very close bond throughout the years as Jared roots on Nick's professional basketball career, and Nick has always been a fierce supporter of Jared's life in Denver.
Groomsman
Come on, say it with me now, another close friend from the FLC Men's Basketball team, Ryan and Jared were also roommates and confidantes in college. Throughout maintaining friendship into adulthood, leading to friendship between Ryan's wife Ana and Cheyenne, they've become a part of each other's families and wouldn't have it any other way.
Groomsman
Last, but certainly not least, Matt and Jared met when Matt was in his senior year at FLC playing basketball together, and Jared was only just beginning. Throughout trips to Mexico, The Bachelor viewings, and many pumpkin-patch dates later, Cheyenne and Jared, as well as Matt and his wife, Jen, and their two beautiful children, have created chosen family here in Denver that will last a lifetime.
