The nearest airports to the venue are: Florence (40km), Pisa (115km), Bologna (120km). Although farther away, flying into Rome (FCO) and taking a train to Florence is another great option.

Shuttle: Roundtrip Florence Airport to Castello di Ristonchi

Castello di Ristonchi has started their own bus service to ensure guests have the most seamless trip from Florence to the Castle. There are 2 passenger buses that will be running on a schedule from Florence Airport to the Castle on Tuesday and vice versa on Friday. Pick up and drop off will only be at the Florence airport due to special permits needed to enter the city. If you would like to use this transportation option it will cost $65 per person. The payment will be made to Skylar. You can pay it with your accommodation payment or later on if you are unsure. Rental Car

Car Rental Florence - Airport - Peretola

Castello di Ristonchi is 35Km from Florence center. (Around a 45 minute drive). A rental car is the easiest and cheapest way to get around Tuscany. There is free onsite parking for all guests at Castello di Ristonchi If you are not renting a car, no worries. Please see the shuttle bus option above or train/bus option below. If you plan on using a rental car after the wedding to roam around Italy, to save money, we would recommend using the shuttle service and picking up your rental car that Friday. The shuttle bus will drop guests at the airport, making rental car pickup extra convenient!

Hotel

Castello Di Ristonchi

We have exclusive use of the venue for the wedding and all guests will be staying on site at Castello di Ristonchi Tuesday through Friday morning. When you RSVP, Ben & Skylar will assign guests a room on the property. There is no additional process for booking a room at our venue.

Train

Pontassieve Train Station

The closest train station to the Castle is Pontassieve, which can be reached from any major city in Italy. You can take the train to Pontessieve (30 mins from Florence | 2 hours from Pisa | 1 hour from Bologna | 2.5 hours from Milan/Rome/Venice). Once you're at Pontassieve train station, you can take the Bus 343 A Saltino Centro up the mountain and get off at stop ‘Paterno_V’ in Pelago (15 mins) and coordinate pick up from there (Uber, taxi, or another guest with a car) or if you have a lot of gumption and not a lot of luggage you can take a beautiful forest walk to the castle (30 mins walk from bus stop).
