Things To Do

If you want a little extra to do over the weekend, these are some of our favorite places we'd love to share.
Capitol Theatre Coffee & Ice Cream Parlor

Capitol Theatre Coffee & Ice Cream Parlor

127 West Broadway Avenue, Maryville, TN 37801

The Capitol Theatre holds a special place in the bride's heart as she used to walk there every Friday after school with friends. Eventually, Grace and David both became regulars and have made unforgettable memories. This is an ice cream and coffee shop. It is decorated floor to ceiling everyone's favorite iconic movies; themed booths include Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars. If you are looking for a fun place to hang out or are looking for coffee, other specialty drinks, or ice cream this is where to go!

Beard Brothers Coffee

Beard Brothers Coffee

1105 East Broadway Avenue, Maryville, TN 37804

Beard Brothers was where Grace and David had their first date, before either of their parents knew they even liked each other. After that first date, they continued to make Beard Brothers Coffee a frequent stop. This is personally the bride's favorite place to get coffee in town! It is locally owned and their food is made from scratch with local ingredients and definitely worth stopping by during your visit!

Foothills Parkway

Cades Cove Scenic Loop

Cades Cove Scenic Loop

Cades Cove Loop Road, Townsend, TN 37882

Cades Cove is one of the groom's favorite spots, he has probably driven it a hundred times. This a slow-paced scenic drive. If you are looking for beautiful views, scenery, old houses and churches, and maybe even spotting some wild animals including horses, deer, turkey, and (if you are lucky) black bears, this is worth checking out.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

This is where Grace and David got engaged. They have gone on many dates in the Smokies - anywhere from driving to sight-seeing to having picnics. This was where they spent most of their time outside of the house. The Smoky Mountain National Park is the most visited national park in the United States. This dense green forest is home to many hikes and rivers, as well as waterfalls. It is a great way to spend your day and really enjoy the beauty of Tennessee.

Gatlinburg

Gatlinburg

Gatlinburg, TN 37738

If you are looking for the touristy side of the Smokies, then you will love Gatlinburg. Gatlinburg is home to many unique shops and delicious food. The groom's favorite place to eat is in Gatlinburg at Crockett's Breakfast Camp. Gatlinburg is a great place to visit after a nice day of adventuring in the national park.

Pigeon Forge

Pigeon Forge

Pigeon Forge, TN

Pigeon forge is unique place - home to many different attractions and shops, as well as restaurants. It is on the quieter side of the Smokies and home to The Old Mill which is one of the couple's favorite places to eat. The Old Mill contains a restaurant that used to be a working mill and is still used to make some of their food. The Old Mill also includes shopping and an even moonshine tasting.
