Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Jared is a proud Colorado native, but now calling McKinney, TX home -- known for his dry sense of humor and loyalty. When he's not working Parks & Recreaction, you can find Jared rewatching his favorite shows, cracking sarcastic one-liners, officiating hockey, or grilling something delicious, and made with love. He’s the kind of person who quietly takes care of everything behind the scenes—and makes sure everyone’s laughing while he does it. Jared is beyond excited to marry Sierra, his best friend, travel partner, and the one person who somehow laughs at all his jokes (even the bad ones).

Originally from West Des Moines, Iowa, Sierra brings midwestern warmth and genuine kindness to everything she does. After graduating from Colorado State University in 2017, and earning her nursing degree from UT Arlington in 2022, she now works as a Registered Nurse at Cook Children’s Hospital—where she pours her heart into caring for little ones and their families every day. Sierra is known for her thoughtful spirit, calm demeanor, and ability to organize just about anything (including this wedding). She loves a good coffee, a great playlist, and finding joy in the little moments. She’s the steady hand behind the scenes, the soft voice of reason, and the perfect partner to Jared’s dry humor and chaos. Saying “yes” to forever with him was the easiest decision of her life—and she can’t wait for all that’s ahead.
Hayden Pike
Best Man
Hayden, ironically also from Colorado, met Jared working as a hockey official in Dallas. Hayden and Jared became close friends through skating games, attending Avalanche games, reffing road trips to Oklahoma, and hitting the golf course in the off-season. Ask him about his "Mort" from Madagascar impression!
Malika Sengsavath

Malika and Sierra met the most natural way any two ladies becomes best friends -- in an interview! Sierra interviewed Malika to work at Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt, and the two of them have been inseparable ever since (except for the distance from Colorado to Texas). After working multiple jobs together, roommates in college, and many life changes over the years, Malika has always been Sierra's ride or die, and the pepper to her salt!
Sadie Lynn
Dog of Honor
Though she won't be able to attend the wedding in person (or in paw), Sadie Lynn holds a very special place in our hearts today, and every day. Known for her unwavering affection, gentle soul, and uncanny ability to find the comfiest spot between Mom and Dad on the couch, Sadie has been a loyal companion through every season of life—and love. She’s a connoisseur of treatos, a fierce protector of her stuffies, and the unofficial Walmart greeter at the dog park. If she could be here, she’d be wagging her tail in joy, offering slobbery kisses, and probably moving from one person to the next in search of belly rubs. We miss her dearly today, but her love and spirit are very much a part of our celebration!
