Q & A

The Wedding Website of Sierra Ogbourne and Jared Shuck
Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends dressed up! Semi-formal attire is recommended. We kindly ask that our guests dress in our color palette on our special day! Please see the graphic above for our colors. If you need some inspiration photos, reach out to Sierra or Jared! Be mindful that parking can be scarce at the ceremony location, and some walking may be involved -- ladies, heels may not be the best option for this part of the evening!

Question

What’s the weather typically like this time of year?

Answer

Colorado is known for its unpredictable weather... October in Colorado Springs usually has highs of 60s and lows of 40s. The ceremony and reception dinner will both be outside events, however the restaurant patio that we will be on will have heaters. We recommend bringing a jacket with you, just in case!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We plan to begin the ceremony promptly at 4:00 PM. Garden of the Gods is a public landmark and tourist attraction. We recommend arriving 20–30 minutes early to locate the site, find parking, and make your way to the ceremony.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

For the ceremony, street parking along Juniper Way Loop will be most convenient. If you are unable to find a spot there, park in Parking Lots 1 or 2. For the reception, there is free parking available in a parking garage located off of S Nevada Avenue, between Colorado Avenue and E Vermijo Avenue. Please try to carpool with other attendants that you may know, as parking is VERY limited in the park. We have attached important maps inside the "Gallery" page of this website, as both locations can be difficult to find.

Question

What should I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

After the ceremony, as everyone is excused, we ask you to make your way to MacKenzie's Chop House for a cocktail hour, set with beverages and appetizers. Dinner service and festivities will begin once the bride and groom arrive!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unless your invitation specifically states that you may bring a guest, please do not bring one. If you received a plus one, you will see it on your RSVP within the website. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can I bring my children to the wedding?

Answer

While we love your kids, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate them. Unless your invitation specifically lists your children's names please use this weekend as a kid-free weekend.

Question

I still have other questions... Who should I contact?

Answer

If you have any other questions other than what we have listed here, please reach out to Sierra at (515) 402-8820, or Jared at (719) 323-1624.
