Get to know some of the people who are making the wedding day extra special!

Rachel Chwalik

Honor Attendant

Rachel has been one of Jaida's dearest friends since 2019. She moved to Marion with her boyfriend (now husband), Andrew to open an ice cream shop, and Jaida was one of their first employees! After working one shift with Rachel, Jaida knew that they would be besties for life. When she isn't traveling, mastering home renovation, or painting a watercolor masterpiece, Rachel dedicates her time to being a rockstar mother and business owner! Ryan and Jaida love visiting Rachel and her family at their cozy home in Port Clinton. The perfect excuse to see Lake Erie! If you are ever in the Lakeside Marblehead area, be sure to swing by the Bluebird Cafe for a panini; I hear the owners are pretty cool! Rachel has always been, without fail, someone who lifts Jaida's spirits and amplifies her joys. Her warm spirit, unwavering kindness, and fierce loyalty are just a few of her many qualities that make her a woman that inspires anyone who has the privilege of knowing her. Ryan and Jaida are so grateful to have Rachel in their lives!

Jeffrey Wegrzynowski

Honor Attendant

Ryan met Jeffrey during their time in college at the University of Cincinnati, where they bonded over a shared appreciation for concrete. Since then, Jeffrey has become a rugged blue-collar man servicing the greater Cincinnati area and building senior housing as a project manager for Triton Services. Jeff is just an overall chill guy that enjoys brews and crab rangoons. In his free time, he is known to bake some pretty mean pretzels. He is a very supportive friend; he is so supportive that he aided his former roommate Janzen in converting their backyard into an ice-skating rink. Jaida and Ryan enjoy visiting Jeffrey and Rachel aka “Raymo” at their residence in the northern Cincinnati region along with their children Puck, Eggothy, Wilbur (bald) and Louise (more bald). Jeffrey and Raymo helped Ryan pull off a flawless proposal to Jaida, to which they are very grateful.

Janzen Bartles

Celebrant

Ryan and Janzen locked eyes one sunny afternoon in 2007 on the Darby Creek Elementary School Playground, before being impacted by the looming financial crisis. Through that hardship, they have remained great friends and had lived together for about 6 years before Ryan left him for Jaida. Janzen has since found great emotional support in his girlfriend Emily and their two very healthy cats. From playing the banjo to ice fishing, Janzen is a man of many hobbies, to the point you might mistake him for a recently divorced father. He is the type of person who is able to make you laugh by casually saying something ridiculous. It is also very impressive how much time he is willing to dedicate to doing something just because he finds it funny, like justifying branded cowboy hats as a legitimate business expense. Ryan and Jaida are thrilled that Janzen is putting his online certification to use in officiating their ceremony. For those of you in the Ohio River Valley region, please reach out to Mr. Bartels for any of your roofing and siding needs.
