If you’re staying in New Delhi for a few days, before or after the wedding, we can share the hotel details for the hotel that Ryan, his parents and a few of their friends are staying at, so you can get group pricing. Unfortunately, hotels in India don’t offer room blocking, but Shruti’s parents can negotiate better pricing if you let us know in advance. As mentioned before, once you’re at the wedding venue, you’re taken care of and don’t have to pay for accommodation or food at the resort where the wedding will be held.
Ryan and his parents will be flying into New Delhi on the 24th of January, if you’d like to get there earlier, please let us know.
Since the wedding is in Alwar, which is about a 4 hour drive from the New Delhi airport, it is best that you book flights back home after 8pm on February 3rd. That will give you enough time to drive from Alwar to New Delhi and check in to your flights. You can always check with us before booking your flights.

Indian Rupees is the currency used in India. You can exchange your local currency at the airport you're flying from or once you land in New Delhi. All Visa and Mastercards work in most places in India, but you should call your bank to inform them about your travel plans so that they don't block your transactions. Most small shops/street vendors don't accept cards in India, so you should carry some cash with you at all times.
Your phone will likely not work unless you call your phone carrier and get an international plan for the time period that you're in India. We know that AT&T offers a $10 per day plan that works in India, and that Shruti has used in the past, we are sure you can call your phone carrier to find a plan that works for you.

If you’re attending all the Indian wedding festivities, you will need 4 outfits, one each for the mornings of Feb 1st and 2nd and one each for the evenings. The evenings will be fancier, and women can wear dresses or jumpsuits, while men can wear suits or dress pants and shirts. For the morning of each day, you can wear something casual and comfortable. If you'd like to wear Indian outfits, drop us a message and we can help.
