We're getting married in India, as per Indian traditions. The wedding will take place over a 2 day period. As is tradition in India, once you arrive at the resort in Alwar, your food and accommodations are provided for by Shruti's parents. As most Indian weddings, ours has multiple ceremonies. All the ceremonies will be held at the same resort in Alwar, starting with the Mehndi (henna) ceremony on February 1st right after lunch. This would be followed by the Sangeet (song and dance) with dinner and cocktails in the evening. On the morning of 2nd February, the Haldi ceremony will take place right after breakfast. This would be followed by the Choora (red bangles) ceremony and lunch. In the evening, the wedding ceremony takes place followed by dinner.
We are also having a reception in Edmonds, WA, where we'll eat, drink and dance the night away!
