It was a sunny Wednesday afternoon on McKee Place during orientation week at the University of Pittsburgh. Tyler was a seasoned engineering student, entering Sophomore year and Andrea was three days into college life. There he was - in a striped tank top [super cool], ready to beat a noob in pong. Andrea immediately looked to her best friend and whispered, "He's cute and an engineer!" A few parties later, some engineering study dates and a shared love for New England IPA's, Tyler asked Andrea to be his girlfriend on January 13th, 2016.

From our first "Official" date, up until the proposal, Longwood Gardens' beautiful Christmas display has always been one of our favorites. In November of 2021, Tyler had planned something special for this Longwood trip....including a photographer waiting for the proposal near one of our favorite spots inside the Conservatory. Andrea, having no idea what was about to happen, wanted to snack on some mushroom soup and took them in the wrong direction...making them an hour late to the photos. After Tyler anxiously got Andrea to the spot, it was the easiest yes of Andrea's life. The surprises kept coming when Tyler and Andrea ended up at the Mendenhall Inn to celebrate with family and friends. What an incredible night!
