Things To Do

We're excited for our guests to come spend Memorial Day weekend in Madison. If you're looking for things to do, places to eat or drink, or anything else to keep you entertained, here are some of our favorite spots around town.
Breweries

Breweries

Madison is home to a number of phenomenal breweries, including: Karben4, Wisconsin Brewing Company, Capital Brewery, Ale Asylum, Next Door Brewing Company, One Barrel Brewing Company, Working Draft and many more!

Capitol Square

Capitol Square

The Madison Capitol is famous for having the largest dome in the country. Free tours are available on the weekends and the surrounding area is home to the Dane County Farmer's Market on Saturdays, as well as great bars and restaurants like the Old Fashioned, Graze and Cooper's Tavern.

State Street

State Street

State Street, Madison, WI

State Street is Madison's pedestrian thoroughfare connecting the Capitol with the UW campus. It is home to great local boutiques, coffee shops, bars and restaurants.

King Street

King Street

King Street, Madison, WI 53703

Located right off the Capitol Square, King street is home to some fantastic bars and restaurants, including Lucilles, Young Blood Brewing Co., and the Tipsy Cow.

Williamson (Willy) Street

Williamson (Willy) Street

Williamson Street, Madison, WI 53703

Our home neighborhood for the past two years, Williamson Street offers a more eclectic side of Madison. Great shopping, as well as restaurant and bars. Check out Madison Sourdough or Willoughby diner for brunch, Mickey's for burgers and bloodies, and Old Sugar or State Line distilleries for great cocktails.

Madison B-Cycle Stations

Madison B-Cycle Stations

Madison B-cycles are cheap and easy way to get around the city. Bike stations are located all around town and can be used to explore the downtown and the lake trails.

Ice Age Trail - Table Bluff Segment

Ice Age Trail - Table Bluff Segment

Table Bluff Road, Cross Plains, WI 53528

During the pandemic, we kept ourselves busy by hiking different segments of the Ice Age Trail that loops around Madison. There are lots of great hikes, but this is the first segment we ever did together. We recommend starting at the Table Bluff North Parking and going out and back.

For all the days along the way
