Yes, our wedding is on a Thursday and many of you will be coming from out of town. This is a destination wedding, baby!!! We have many recommendations for things to do under the “Things To Do” tab.
The Congress Plaza Hotel is a classic Chicagoan historical landmark that will transport you to the 1893
World’s Colombian Exposition known often as “The World’s Fair.” Chicago’s magnificent rise from the Great Chicago Fire’s devastation was truly the Fair itself, which had innovations such as the Ferris wheel. So much history in this building to really set the scene for our first-timers to the city. They have offered a discounted rate of $159/night for the 15th and 16th.
Note: you do NOT have to stay at The Congress for lodging as there are many, many, many hotels in not only downtown, but in the Chicagoland area.
