Imagine a little grungy bar called Belvedere's, in a hipster neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA. A skinny DJ with long red locks bumping Justin Timberlake versus Britney Spears hits all night. Shikha on a girl's night out, Michael on a boy's night out. There they began their friendship, dancing the night away.

It started as just friends, so Shikha thought. She took a job in a faraway place called Nashville, Tennessee. Michael finally confessed his love and swept Shikha off her feet. A year later, Michael brought his lamps to Nashville. In October 2025, they bought their first home.

During a long road trip home for the holidays, Michael's family surprised Shikha with a day trip to New York City so "the girls could go ice skating". Shikha almost didn't get on the bus because of the huge snow storm that hit NYC that day.
