No. Check in for hotels is at 3PM. The buses will leave from Holiday Inn @ Monticello and Fairfield Inn & Suites at 3:15PM. If you arrive at 3PM and try to check in prior to the bus leaving, you likely will not make the bus. We suggest you do one of the following: 1. Call ahead Friday morning and request an early check in. 2. Come to the hotel earlier than 3PM and see if they have any available rooms ready for check in. 3. Arrive early, have the front desk stow your luggage, get ready in another guest's room who came on Thursday, and check in to your room at the end of the night. 4. Arrive at 3PM ready to go, have the front desk stow your luggage, and check in to your room at the end of the night. Please let me or Matt know if you are worried about this. We are more than happy to help you with logistics!
Matt and I will be sending out paper Invitations in September! You can RSVP by either paper or through our website.
No. Matt and I tied the knot last September, so this evening is to celebrate our marriage with all of our friends and family who we wished could've been with us on that day. We still have first dances, toasts, games, pie cutting, and all of the dancing that we have yet to do!
Yes! Mount Ida has plenty of parking space, and you can leave your car there overnight if you need.
Yes, two shuttles will pick up guests at two of the hotels listed on the Travel page. If you aren't staying at one of these locations, ubering to the location of the shuttle rather than parking at that hotel would be best. You may also drive straight to the Event Barn if you wish- Mount Ida has plenty of parking spaces at the reception site where you may leave your car overnight if need be!
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! Please let us know if you are having difficulty finding accommodations. We are happy to hire some local babysitters. Exceptions will be made for couples with newborns and other special situations- just reach out to us.
There are hotel blocks available and you can find them in the Hotels tab. There is a Notre Dame game the same weekend as the wedding, which means that hotel rooms will be hard to find and/or astronomically overpriced outside of our blocks. The quicker we book the rooms we have blocked, the more rooms the hotels will release for us. Cancellation policies for hotels have been much more flexible than previously noted. There is no downside to reserving a room as early as possible, but there could be a grave cost for waiting until the last minute. Most hotels we spoke with can accommodate 4+ people in each room, so please keep this in mind when looking at pricing.
Semi-formal please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, don't be afraid to let it hang loose.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then we have allotted you a guest for the wedding. If it does not specify "and Guest," just bring your own two dancing shoes!
No problem at all. This will be a peanut-free wedding as Matt has a severe allergy. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions we need to be aware of when you RSVP.
