Question

What if we have a Dietary Restriction?

Answer

There will be both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available at all events. If you are vegan, have any dietary restrictions or have any allergies we should be aware of, please let us know. Many of our dishes may include nuts, so if you do have a nut allergy - reach out to let us know!

Question

Are Kids Invited?

Answer

While we love your kids, our reception is going to be adults-only (18+). We hope this notice is enough time for you to make other arrangements to take a night off and celebrate with us! If you require help organizing childcare, please contact us. There is also a great service that allows you to find vetted babysitters. You can create a membership and cancel it right after. We have friends who have used this service when they attend weddings out of town. https://www.care.com/en-ca/?rx=Online|CareUSSitemap|General|General

Question

Do I Have to Wear Traditional Pakistani Attire?

Answer

We would love to have our friends and family embrace Shenela's ethnic background and share in the love and joy Pakistani culture emulates. The Mehndi night is full of Pakistani traditions and customs and we want to share a piece of that with all of you. If you need any help with finding an outfit - please contact Shenela.

Question

Are there any Covid-19 Related Restrictions?

Answer

Although there are no federal or provincial regulations in place, we respectfully ask all our guests be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. These events will be large indoor gatherings with vulnerable family members present, we wish to keep everyone as safe as possible.

Question

Do I Need to RSVP to Each Event?

Answer

Yes please! Let us know which events you’ll be attending.

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

The venue for the Mehndi has ample free parking in their parking lot. Unfortunately, for the Rukhsati on Sunday, June 11, there is no parking at the venue. Parking options include: lots of free Sunday parking in the Byward market area/downtown core, which is walking distance to the venue. Alternatively, there are many parking garages within walking distance to the venue, including: National Arts Centre Rideau Centre 24 York Street Garage if you prefer not to bother with the hassle of trying to find parking, we have Uber up in Canada too ;)

Question

What Does “Prayer Arrangements Have Been Made” on the invitation mean?

Answer

This means that a separate room at the venue will be available for those guests wishing to pray
