Traditional Pakistani Attire (Think Bollywood with bright colours)
The Mehndi (Henna) night is a lively evening filled with customs, performances and music. There will be traditional Pakistani street food and lots of chai. Henna artists will be available for any guests who wish to have mehndi applied. Sadly, we are unable to accommodate all infants and children at this event. We ask that only those children/infants with invites join us to celebrate this evening. We are truly sorry! Here is a link to a Bollywood version of a traditional mehndi event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BE8_rNJOQ-0

In case you’re hungry after all the dancing, feel free to meet up with friends at one of the many famous Shawarma shops in Ottawa. This particular place is a quick drive from the mehndi venue and open until 2am

Black Tie Optional/Formal Conservative
The word Rukhsati in Urdu translates to "sending off". It is when the bride is given away to the groom by her family. Please join us for our formal Wedding Reception. As all of you know, Andrew and Shenela love each of your children dearly, but we kindly and respectfully ask that you join us to celebrate without kids tonight.
