Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, dress code is "coastal cocktail". Think cocktail attire with a relaxed, beachy twist. Cocktail dresses or a suit (no tie required) are perfect. The wedding ceremony will take place with your feet in the sand, so we recommend wearing shoes that are easier to slip on and off. For women, that could mean nice sandals or more comfortable block heels. For men, loafers, nice tennis shoes/slip-ons, or dress shoes all would work well.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will all be outdoors. The ceremony will be in the sand and the reception will be approximately a 5 minute walk or short shuttle ride to an observation deck. With the wedding in October, it could get cold in the evening after sunset so please dress appropriately and bring a jacket!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding and reception will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time.

Question

What is the parking situation?

Answer

Getting There Guests are welcome to park in the State Park Los Trancos Lot and costs $20 per vehicle for a day pass. Although we don't expect the parking lot to fill up, parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Carpooling and Uber/Lyft are also recommended. There will be a private event shuttle from the main State Park Los Trancos parking lot to the roundabout stop. Guests will then be guided to the beach for the ceremony. The shuttle will be waiting at the roundabout at the conclusion of the ceremony to bring guests up to a private deck for the reception. The shuttle will stay parked outside of the reception area for the duration of the event in case someone needs to leave early and of course, to ensure everyone gets safely back to their car at the end of the event.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The wedding ceremony on the beach will begin promptly at 4:30 PM. We kindly encourage guests to arrive at the parking lot by 4 PM (whether you're driving yourself or taking an Uber/Lyft) to allow time to take the shuttle down to the beach.
