Millennium Park
Millennium Park is a public park located in the Loop community area of Chicago in Illinois, US, and originally intended to celebrate the second millennium. It is a prominent civic center near the city's Lake Michigan shoreline that covers a 24.5-acre section of northwestern Grant Park. The area was previously occupied by parkland, Illinois Central rail yards, and parking lots.
Field Museum
This is one of our favorite museums in the city. If you love history or want to learn about ancient Egypt, dinosaurs, or meteorites, this is a great place to be. They have numerous exhibits that cater to everyone of all ages,
Navy Pier
Navy Pier is a 3,300-foot-long pier on the shoreline of Lake Michigan, located in the Streeterville neighborhood of the Near North Side community area in Chicago, Illinois, United States.
Chicago River Boat Architecture Tours
We highly recommend this tour, it's beautiful, you get to learn about the city and enjoy some of the unique and beautiful architecture that Chicago is known for.
Pilsen Neighborhood
Chicago is known for its many neighborhoods, Pilsen holds a special place in our hearts because we met there! Great neighborhood with amazing murals, tacos, restaurants and coffee shops. Definitely check out the Jumping Bean Cafe--they have the best dirty chais and molletes.
Humboldt Park
There are so many reasons to love Humboldt Park, from its rich Puerto Rican roots, to its historic namesake park, to the neighborhood’s bustling cultural corridor. There is a wide variety of family-owned restaurants serving traditional dishes, colorful murals created by local artists, and a seemingly endless parade of vibrant cultural events each year.
Skydeck Chicago
If you want unobstructed views of the city, go to the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower. Great views and check out the ledge!!
Lakefront Trail
Chicago’s lake front trail is beautiful and a great place to take walks, go biking, jogging and having a picnic with your significant other or family!!
Shedd Aquarium
The Shedd is a great aquarium for all you sea animal lovers!
The Art Institute of Chicago
If you're into museums and art, the Art Institute is really great!
Chicago Riverwalk
Another great way to see downtown is through the Riverwalk which takes you along the Chicago River and many restaurants, it's a beautiful walk.
Hornblower Seadog Cruises
These speedboat rides are a lot of fun. We recommend checking Groupon first, they always have Groupons for these thrill rides at Navy Pier.
Harold's Chicken Shack #88 Meets Beer
You can't come to Chicago and not try Harold's Fried Chicken, order some with their mild sauce...yummy!
Portillo's Hot Dogs
You can't go wrong with Portillo's, they have great burgers, hot dogs, fries and this decadent chocolate cake shake which has a piece of chocolate cake at the bottom of the shake...need we say more. Definitely try a Chicago style hot dog...it's delicious!
Pequod's Pizza
Want deep dish pizza and deliciousness, definitely go to Pequod's, it is one of our favorite places to go, their pan pizza is to die for!!! They also have great hot wings and Italian beef sandwiches.
Molly's Cupcakes
If you have a sweet tooth you have to try Molly's, they have the best cupcakes in town....Marcus' favorite is the red velvet cupcake...as for me...I like them all lol
Do-Rite Donuts & Chicken
Want some really great donuts, go to Do-Rite...or if you want to try something different, try their donut chicken sandwich!!
Au Cheval
One of the best burgers and fries I've had has been at Au Cheval. Their burger is so juicy and flavorful and their fries are addicting (I think they have crack on them! lol)....great spot to go have some really great food.
Forno Rosso Pizzeria Napoletana
Not into deep dish? No problem! We have some really great pizza places, one of my favorites is Forno Rosso which makes Neapolitan style pizzas and great cocktails.
RPM Steak
In Chicago we are known to love our beef and we have some amazing steakhouses. If you want to splurge try RPM for a nice big juicy steak and sides!
Sweet Bean
This place has the yummiest pastries, coffees and breakfast items. It's a Taiwanese cafe with a la carte pastries. Go around 11:30am, that's when they bring out freshly baked items!! Highly recommend.
