The Percy Warner White Trail is one of our favorites! Charlotte and Wicket love hiking the trail with us. We trail run on the weekends and love heading here for a bit of woods in the middle of the city. You can hike the White Trail in about an hour and 15 minutes! Or run it in 45 minutes. We hope you enjoy our little sanctuary!
Moto is Nathan's all time favorite restaurant in town! In fact, he would often times take a good book, order a bottle of wine and pasta, and sit at the bar to enjoy. Then Madelyn came along and she got to join in on the great bottles of wine! We go here a lot and it's a special place that's remained the same even with the big changes in the city.
Madelyn's comfort food? McDougal's Chicken. She's been eating here since highschool. In fact, the owner often times will give her $10 gift cards if he's there because she's been such a long time patron. Nathan was forced into McDougal's life when they started dating, and he's finally mastered his order. Here's what to get! Small Basket Fried - Tossed in Honey Bee Sauce - McDougal's Sauce on the Side - Sweet Tea
Madelyn's favorite burger in town! Nathan scooters here for lunch from his downtown office quite often. It's where he took Madelyn's mom and brother, and then dad to ask if he could marry her. It's a true hole-in-the-wall, and clearly has special meaning.
You will not find better views of the city and the rolling hills than at this rooftop bar! We go here for just drinks and dessert (hi smoked S'mores cake, marshmallow ice cream, nutella thingie). They also have a fry flight that's to-die for.
Fair Park is within walking distance from our homes! We take the dogs here often to walk around Geodis Park, run on the greenway, and let the dogs sniff. It's the home to the Nashville Soccer Club team and also the Fairgrounds. Enjoy a coffee at Barista Parlor at the top of the hill while you stroll around.
Looking for a good sweat and zen? This is Madelyn's favorite hot yoga spot! Fun fact: she used to teach hot yoga sculpt here! It's a fun little studio in the 12th South neighborhood and the vibes are the best. Try to take a class with Alli, one of Madelyn's dear friends!
Radnor Lake is 5 minutes up the road from Madelyn's childhood home! Her and her family have been hiking here for literally 30 years. It's such a peaceful spot and you're sure to encounter deer, owls, eagles, turtles, and more. If you need a minute to decompress and slip away, this is where you should go.
Nathan's favorite burger in town! Madelyn also had the bright idea to dry age their own meat while sitting at a restaurant one day. And of course, Nathan was happy to oblige. After an investment in some hardware, Bare Bones has helped us facilitate some of our favorite dinner parties ever.
Nathan golfs here often, but would probably prefer not to (just kidding, maybe). It's a beautiful course with a greenway wrapped around it that Madelyn walks often. It's a slow course and Nathan prefers more efficient courses, but it's a great option if you are looking for a public course!
An ode to the Greene Family! Whenever Nate's family is in town, we will undoubtedly go to TJ Maxx for some good shopping. If you forgot a tie or some dancing shoes, head here and be sure to text Cheryl because she won't want to miss out on the shopping.
