If you visit the aquarium, be sure to see both the jelly fish and octopus exibits. The photo above is from our last visit. We can watch them for hours!

While the warf isn't very big, it's a destination while in Monterey. They have seafood and chowder restaurants, shopping and they offer fishing, sailing and bay cruises.
Point Pinos is the oldest operating lighthouse on the west coast. It's open Fridays 1pm - 3pm and Saturdays/ Sundays 11am - 3pm.
If you've never been on the 17 mile drive, this is a top recommendation. You can enter 17-Mile Drive through gates in Carmel or Pacific Grove. The cost is about $11.25 per vehicle. There are several beautiful locations along the drive, so allow about 3 hours - especially if you'll be taking pictures. The Lone Cypress tree is one of the most famous sights along the 17-Mile Drive in Pebble Beach, California. This unique tree has become a symbol of Pebble Beach Resorts and is included on their logo. It is the oldest Monterey Cypress tree in existence and is believed to be over 250 years old.
Carmel-by-the-Sea is a one-square mile shopping "village" that is nestled along the coast. It has boutique shops, art galleries, restaurants and a stunning coastline. After walking the many streets, take a drive along the "Scenic Road" to take in the ocean views and to experience the incredibly unique homes throughout the area.
