Question

Is there a hotel block available?

Answer

No blocks are available; however there are lodging choices from low to high price points. We recommend using Hotels.com or Expedia.com to find the best option for you.

Question

Can we bring animals?

Answer

Sorry - not to the wedding or reception. Both the ceremony and reception venues are NOT animal friendly.

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

We are NOT registered and prefer NO gifts.

Question

Did I just read that last question correctly about not wanting gifts?

Answer

Yes! We appreciate the time and money you'll invest to share our special day with us. This IS our gift.

Question

What if we want to bring a card?

Answer

There will be a card box available.

Question

Is there transportation from the ceremony to the reception venue and vise versa?

Answer

Unfortunately - no. Transportation hasn't been arranged.

Question

What is the dress code, and what shoes should I consider for the ceremony?

Answer

The best input that we can provide is dress like you're going to a special event. Be comfortable - this isn't a formal affair, but this isn't a backyard BBQ. We just want you there.... Does that help?? When considering shoes: All guests will walk on a paved road to get to the ceremony site. The road is paved (but WILL have sand on it). At the end of the road, you'll be met with an aisle made of wooden planks. The only time you'll be walking on actual sand is to move off the planks to your seat. The reception will be inside on a hardwood floor.

Question

Is the ceremony seating "traditional" in that you sit on the groom or bride's side based on whether you're their friend or family?

Answer

As the cheesy wedding signs say, "please don't pick a side, you're loved by both the groom and bride!" We would like everyone to just find their preferred seat!

Question

We're going to be in town before and/or after the wedding. Do you have any recommendations of points of interest or things to do?

Answer

Please see the "Things to Do" tab.

Question

Is the bar "hosted," (we treat) or a "no-host" (you purchase) bar?

Answer

The bar service is hosted or an "open" bar. There will be non-alcoholic drinks, beer, wine and top shelf spirits. Please keep in mind that the entire event will be video recorded and professionally photographed. All drunken shenanigans will be captured and potentially used as blackmail.

Question

Is there special access to the ceremony site if I have mobility issues?

Answer

Yes! Anyone who has mobility issues and is unable to walk from their parked car to the ceremony will be allowed to be driven down the frontage road at the beach and dropped off at the wooded aisle leading to the ceremony. The car will need to then be parked outside of that area as they only have permit access to the vehicle bringing the bride. (If this option is needed, please let us know ahead of time so we can inform our Wedgewood Wedding planner. They'll need to watch for your vehicle and allow access.)

Question

I have special dietary needs. Are you able to accommodate me?

Answer

Our appetizer and buffet selections are very diverse; however, please let us know of any special dietary needs in advance so we can make any special arrangements that might be needed.

Question

Is there a charge for parking at the ceremony site or reception venue?

Answer

No, parking is free and on a first come, first serve basis. Parking at the beach is simply parallel parking along the highway. The reception venue has a large parking lot.

Question

What is the wedding date, time and location?

Answer

Saturday, August 26, 2023 The ceremony will be held at 1pm at Monastery Beach which is just North of Point Lobos on Highway 1. The reception will be held at Carmel Fields at Wedgewood Weddings 4860 Carmel Valley Road, Carmel-By-The-Sea
