Galway Arts Festival
Galway Arts Festival 2019 is July 15-28 (tentatively). The multidisciplinary festival takes place each July in Galway, Ireland and covers a range of art forms, including theatre, dance, music, opera, street spectacle, visual arts, discussion and comedy. You'll find some amazing acts and family friendly fun!
Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher
The west of Ireland is beautiful and we hope you'll take a day trip or more to see some of Ireland's most iconic attractions. The Cliffs of Moher and Aran Islands can be seen in a day trip from Galway. Check out a cruise that includes a stop in Doolin Village. There are several bus and cruise tours to choose your own adventure!
Wild Atlantic Way
If the wedding will be an excuse for a holiday in Ireland and you're renting a car, get yourself out on the road along the Wild Atlantic Way. Mesmerizing landscape, sea-salted shorelines and 2,500km of unforgettable experiences ahead of you. A perfect way to experience the amazing sites of the West.
Leisureland
Galway is a very family friendly city, but the little ones will especially enjoy this amusement park on the seafront. Enjoy the carnival atmosphere with an assortment of rides and attractions to suit a diverse range of ages and tastes. It's a coastal walk of about 1.5 miles from Galway's center.
Pints & Craic
If its traditional music you want try Taafes and Tig Coili both located on shop street. For a good beer garden check out An Pucan and O'Connells both on Eyre square. An Pucan also have a great whiskey selection if you want to try some local whiskey. Garavans on shop st is also a great place for whiskey. For a good late bar try The Quays, The Front Door or The Kings Head, all on main street and will all have either a live cover band or DJ. You'll find the best Guinness in Galway at Freeneys, The Dew Drop Inn, The Crane Bar or Tig Coili's.
