Kaela and Shannon are sisters who grew up constantly being told how much they look alike, Shannon always thought it was the greatest compliment! Growing up Kaela used to read Harry Potter to Shannon every night with a different voice for each character, it was her favorite thing. Kaela is Shannon’s everything!
Brett Liefer
Best Man
Brett and Joe have been best friends since they were 3 years old. They went to school together pre-k through high school. They moved out to Colorado together in 2021 and were roommates for a few years. Shannon even got to enjoy a few months as a roomie too!
Cassie Leishman

Cassie and Shannon refer to each other as ‘my person’ after bingeing Grey’s Anatomy together in their dorm room freshman year. These two west coast girls found themselves at the same small university in the middle of Illinois, they bonded over their love of soccer, food, and spontaneous (sometimes weird) adventures. Fun fact: Cassie and Shannon's back up college was University of Puget Sound, they were destined to be friends!
Sean Moomey
Groomsman
Joe and Sean have been best buds since high school. They met in Spanish class and bonded over a love for 2000s baseball and a hate for Algebra II. To this day the only person who texts Joe more than Shannon is Sean!
Alyssa Shipman
Bridesmaid
Alyssa and Shannon met playing soccer together at IWU, they were also both elementary education majors, and in Kappa Kappa Gamma together! They spent lots of time together over their four years of college, most of that time was spent writing lesson plans.
Brendan Woodall
Groomsman
Brendan and Joe met in college while studying forestry and wildlife at Mizzou. Brendan was Joe’s TA in dendrology and they took many classes together after that. They still get together for the occasional lake or ski trip and sometimes just some good old fashion timber stand improvement!
Lucy Newcombe

Lucy is Shannon’s oldest friend, they played on the same club soccer team when they were kids. They have gone through a lot together and Lucy has been a big part of the Green family since they met. Even though they’ve known each other for almost 20 years they only have 5 pictures together!
Luke Stancil
Groomsman
Joe and Luke met in college while studying forestry at Mizzou. Luke and Joe bonded over Society of American Forester club events and trips to Piano Bar!
Scottie Green
Brother of the Bride
Scottie is Shannon’s big brother and best friend. Joe and Scottie have also become best friends after many visits and fun adventures. Scottie is a huge part of our lives and keeps us all on our toes!
