Like all introverts in 2021 we met on the internet! We met for the first time in person at a dog park, with our dogs Moose and Miley. We shared our stories, some laughs, and our first kiss that day! Date two was a precursor of what was to come. We hiked and really began getting to know each other. By Christmas we found ourselves in love picking out our Christmas trees in the mountains of Colorado.

Like all great Joe & Shannon memories, it started with a trip to the mountains! Great Sand Dunes National Park had been on our Colorado bucket list since we met. We finally made it down over Memorial Day weekend in 2023 for a camping trip under the stars. The first day we hiked and sledded the dunes, which was the first core memory of the trip. After an amazing night of star gazing, s'mores, and long talks about the future we set off for a hike up Mosca Pass the next morning. As we headed up the canyon we found the perfect rock to stop and rest. Joe went to set up the camera to take a family photo with our pups, what Shannon didn’t see was Joe pulled the ring out of his bag. Shannon was waiting on the rock smiling, ready to take a picture when Joe got down on one knee and popped the question! It was an instant YES! We spent the rest of the weekend soaking up every moment of each other’s company before heading home newly engaged! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
