Things To Do
Box Factory
The Box Factory is just a short walk from hotels in the Old Mill District if you are staying there (Hampton Inn & Suites and Hilton Garden Inn). You can find a variety of breweries, bars, wineries, and a great store for used outdoor gear if you are an outdoorsy person.
The Podski Food Cart Lot
This is a great outdoor food truck lot and tap house that is within walking distance of the Hampton Inn & Suites and Hilton Garden Inn.
Hola!
A very short walk from the Hampton Inn & Suites and Hilton Garden Inn. This restaurant looks unassuming from the outside, but is one of our favorite Mexican/Peruvian fusion restaurants. It's locally owned by a family and the food is incredibly fresh. If you end up downtown, there is also an Hola! located there owned by a different branch of the family.
Monkless Belgian Ales
A short walk from the Hampton Inn & Suites and Hilton Garden Inn. This is a fantastic German restaurant and brewery. The beers are very strong, watch out! Venture into the bathroom for a surprise.
The Lot
This is a great food truck lot that offers a variety of beers.
Spider City Brewing Company
This is our favorite local spot to grab a beer, just a couple minutes from our house!
10 Barrel Brewing West Side Bend
Before we moved to Bend, we would head to 10 Barrel often after rock climbing at Smith Rock. The pizzas are excellent!
GoodLife Brewing Company
If the weather is nice, Good Life is a great place to grab a beer and enjoy the lawn.
Crux Fermentation Project
Crux also has a great outdoor space for grabbing a beer and a taco when the weather is nice!
Tumalo Creek Falls Hike
This hike will take you right by our wedding venue and through some beautiful forest up to Tumalo Creek Falls. In the fall, the road should be open to the higher parking area, making the hike more like 2-3 miles round trip.
Benham Falls Hike
This is a great, short hike that is family-friendly. It ends at a beautiful waterfall, or you can keep going and explore along the Deschutes River!
High Desert Museum
The High Desert Museum is a great place to learn about local plants, animals, and history! Family friendly. We've heard the Birds of Prey exhibit and show is really cool!
Devils Lake/South Sister Trailhead
For those of you who rented a car and want to explore the mountains around Bend, driving up to Devil's Lake is a great option. The water is a gorgeous blue color and you'll love the views of the Cascades!
