Is there a wedding registry?
Answer
Your love and support are the greatest gifts to us. So, we have decided not to have a wedding registry. But, if you wish to bring something, a card would be appreciated :)

Do you recommend any hotels?
Answer
Yes. We have a room block with Hyatt Place at UC Davis (includes breakfast) and Palm Court, Best Western (has a Cafe Bernardo attached and a small Tiki Bar but food is not included in your stay). For the web links to the room blocks see the Travel section of our website. The local Hilton Garden Inn in Downtown Davis is also a nice property just make sure to select a room in the main building, as this property has an adjacent building that is more like a motel/apartment complex.

What’s the weather like in Davis in the month of August?

Funny you should ask…it’s very hot. Hot like 90-100+ degree weather that persists through late in the evening.

What are the best places for tween and teenagers to eat?
Answer
Woodstock’s Pizza is a super fun and family friendly place in downtown Davis. We also recommend the Davis Creamery which has tasty organic ice cream and daily new flavors. For hamburgers, Burgers and Brew and Outpost Burger are also good options. There is also a place called Caine’s (fried chicken strips) that is all the rage with middle schoolers.

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?
Answer
Both events will be at the UC Davis International House, just across the street from the main campus at: 10 College Park, Davis, CA 95616. You may park behind the venue or on the street. Parking is free and okay on Saturdays. The ceremony will be outside on the patio, immediately followed by cocktail hour both outside and inside the reception ballroom. The reception will be inside in the ballroom, and there will be plenty of air conditioning.

What type of food will be served at the wedding?
Answer
Prior to the ceremony, starting at 2:15 pm, there will be light refreshments and a charcuterie board. After the ceremony, there will be a cocktail hour and hors d’euovres followed by a buffet dinner. There will be meat, fish and pasta with several salads and sides.

What is the schedule for the wedding?
Answer
Both the ceremony and reception will be at the same location ( UC Davis International House, 10 College Park, Davis, CA 95616). Venue doors open at 2:00 pm. The ceremony will be at 3:00 pm sharp on the patio. Cocktail hour will be 3:30 pm- 4:30 pm on the patio and in the reception ballroom. The reception will begin at 4:30 pm. Dinner will be served shortly thereafter.

What is the dress code?
Answer
We want you to be comfortable at our wedding. The dress code is dressy casual attire, as it will be a very warm summer day. Think of lightweight, breathable fabrics, jackets and ties are optional and preferably no jeans.
