Getting from the Airport to Salida
The drive from Denver International Airport to Salida is about 3 hours. Your drive will include some elevation gain and winding roads (all main highways) through the mountains. Because there are randomly snow storms in late fall, we would recommend watching the weather and consider renting an AWD or 4WD vehicle. There are many hotels near the airport and in Denver to stay at if you want to hang in the city before heading to the mountains.
