Mountain weather in the fall can be unpredictable- from hot to snow. Make sure to bring layers, especially to the wedding/reception as most of the day will be outside. We will likely be in flannels and sweatshirts by the end of the night.
There is a small parking lot at the Mountain Goat Lodge- carpooling is great to help with the limited space!
We will be celebrating and hanging out in a field behind the lodge. It may be dusty depending on the weather this summer- we would recommend casual clothing and shoes- avoid heels as the ground is uneven.
It is ~2.5 hour drive from Denver to Salida without traffic- we would recommend checking the traffic reports prior to leaving if you plan to drive out the day of the wedding.
There are areas along Highway 285 that you will have poor to no cell service. Your GPS should continue to work and there is reception in Salida. There is also wifi at the event site.
Yes! There are Uber/Lyft services available (but this may be subject to the amount of local drivers out at that time). We have reserved Rocky Mountain Taxi from 930pm-130am on 9/28 and guests can pay to use this service to get back to their accommodations. We want everyone to have fun and be safe, so please consider one of these options, or choose a DD before the party starts.
