We are excited to be receiving the sacrament of marriage and celebrating our continued commitment to each other with friends and family.

In 2022 Nick was living in Seattle for work and Shannen had just arrived for her one year exchange program. They connected on Hinge over their shared dream of having a homestead someday. Shannen suggested tacos for their first date and Nick took her for sandwiches, they followed this up with the worst flight of ciders they ever tasted and ended the night at Gas works parks, a place they would take both sets of parents when they visited and their daughter Nora. Nick & Shannen spent every weekend of 2022 together exploring Washington state through hikes, camping trips and pints of Guinness at Murphy Irish bar. Nick took Shannen home to St Charles, Missouri for Christmas and together they decided they never wanted to be apart so they started living together in their little apartment. In 2023 Nick & Shannen continued to learn more about each others hopes and dreams and began the journey of Nick joining the Catholic faith. On a snowshoeing hike up Mt Rainier Nick asked Shannen to marry him, they had a simple courthouse wedding with the dream to have their family and friends witness them receive the sacrament of marriage down the line. In 2024 Nick & Shannen enjoyed their last Summer of hikes and camping trips in Washington state and welcomed their daughter Nora who brought more happiness to both their lives than they ever thought imaginable. In 2025 Nick & Shannen moved to Houston, Texas for Nicks career. Instead of hikes and camping they now spend their weekends at the neighbourhood pool and strengthening their relationship through home improvement projects!
